Russia more than other countries pollute orbit

Russia leads the pollution of the near-Earth space debris, quarterly report referred to in NASA.

From 4 January to April 4, 2017 in Earth orbit was 471 new object. Now their total number is 18 thousand. 347, of which 4 thousand. 434 units – active and those that came down satellites 13 thousand. 913 objects – pieces of rockets, booster and Space debris.

According to NASA, the largest number of debris belongs to Russia – 6 thousand. 501 item. US second place with clogging Earth orbit – 6 th. 17 facilities (298 new). Third place belongs to China, which for the year could reduce the amount of debris from 3 thousand. 806 to 3 thousand objects. 801.

The report says that the rest of virtually no impact on littering orbit. France owns 532 facilities in Japan – 256, India – 192, the European Space Agency – 134 other countries – 914, Glavkom.
