28 September 2026 In 2018, the American company Meridian Space announced its exit from the SpinLaunch startup and the start of operations as an independent commercial structure. The company plans to create and deploy a group of over 250 communication satellites in low Earth orbit.
The technical basis is our own antenna complexes with gratings and reflectors, which reduce energy consumption compared to traditional systems. This makes it possible to manufacture light compact platforms and output to 250 satellites with one heavy carrier. NanoAvionics is engaged in the production of the first batch of platforms — a leading European aerospace company, which specializes in design, production of small satellites (cubesats and microsatellites) and provision of a full range of space mission integration services.
Meridian Space offers government agencies and telecommunications companies comprehensive networks costing less than 1 billion dollars. The first demonstration mission of the technology is planned
until 1 October 2026 year aboard SpaceX Transporter-18.
