Finland's Defense Ministry has chosen Iceye to provide space intelligence and observation capabilities

ICEYE, European leader in the field of new defensive technologies and world leader in satellite operations with synthesized aperture (SAR), and the Finland Defense Ministry signed a letter of intentions, which allows the Finnish Defense Forces to purchase ICEYE SAR satellites. The purpose of the cooperation is to improve the capabilities of the Defense Army in the field of intelligence and surveillance from space.

The agreement outlines the preliminary plan and terms of implementation. It also covers technical solutions and systems, necessary to create an autonomous national space surveillance capability. Data from these satellites will provide real-time situational awareness for Finland's national leadership and relevant authorities.

This collaboration offers the Finnish Defense Administration a fast track to developing intelligence capabilities, and also plays a significant role in the overall development of the Armed Forces.

ICEYE owns and operates the world's largest constellation of search and rescue satellites (SAR), which provides unlimited global access and the highest repeat visits in the market. ICEYE SAR satellites provide terrestrial resolution 25 cm, which allows you to accurately detect objects and obtain situational awareness in any weather conditions and at any time of the day.
