26 December 2025 p. – Starlab Space LLC (Starlab) announces the receipt of investment from Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Limited (SuMi TRUST Bank).
As part of its wider project support initiatives, that solve social and industrial problems, including impact investments, SuMi TRUST Bank promotes efforts to provide financial support to innovative enterprises. The unique environment of the space station allows for research and development, which are difficult to accomplish on Earth, offering opportunities for innovation in such areas, as advanced materials and sciences.
Thanks to these investments, SuMi TRUST Bank will support Starlab's efforts to develop and commercialize space station technologies, while exploring opportunities for collaboration, which will contribute to the development of space industries and wider industrial development in Japan and around the world.
Starlab Space is a US-led global joint venture, consisting of Voyager Technologies (NYSE: VOYG), Airbus, Mitsubishi Corporation, MDA Space, Palantir Technologies та Space Applications Services, with strategic partners, including Hilton, Journey, Northrop Grumman and Ohio State University.
