The Ukrainian company Stetman and the Danish satellite manufacturer GomSpace concluded a cooperation agreement

During the Ukraine-EU business summit, which took place in Brussels 22-23 April 2026 year, GomSpace and Ukrainian partner Stetman signed the agreement with the participation of representatives of the Directorate-General for Enlargement and the Eastern Neighborhood, European Investment Bank and the Government of Ukraine.

According to the agreement, the partners will create a UASAT joint venture in Ukraine to develop capabilities, which will provide sovereign satellite communications for Ukraine with double (civil and defense) destination.

For reference: GomSpace specializes in space technologies and is engaged in the construction of small spacecraft.

USAT is a Ukrainian program to create a sovereign low-orbit satellite group to provide secure communicationsyakuza. The project envisages the launch of about 245-300 satellites at the end 2026 year. The goal is independent communications for the military, critical infrastructure and government.

Currently, the parties are creating a joint venture, which will work in Ukraine. The partners plan to launch the first satellite using a SpaceX carrier in the fall 2026 year, to obtain operational feedback for further phases of the UASAT roadmap. On 2027 a year should be put into orbit 120 devices, and every next year they are waiting for the launch for about 100 units.
