Clash in the sky: space debris was blamed for the plane crash

In a Boeing plane 737 MAX of the American airline company United Airlines broke the glass of the pilot's cabin during the flight. The incident was blamed on space debris.

The incident happened 16 October. Boeing plane 737 MAX was flying from Denver to Los Angeles. There were people on board 134 passengers and 6 crew members.

That moment, when the plane was at altitude 36 thousand feet (11 km), a crack formed in the cockpit glass. As a result, the crew had to make an emergency landing in Salt Lake City. The passengers were transferred to another plane, after which they continued their flight to Los Angeles.

In the future in social networks pictures were published, which demonstrate the consequences of, what happened. In particular, the pilot of the plane was injured by shards of glass.

Currently unknown, what exactly led to that, what happened. But the Internet is actively discussing the version of the collision of the plane with a fragment of space debris or a micrometeorite. It should be noted, that in the entire history of such incidents, which received official confirmation, hasn't happened yet. At the time of the collision, the fall of known fragments of space debris was not recorded in the area of the incident.

At the same time, taking into account the rapid increase in the number of launches and the growth of satellite groups such as Starlink, it cannot be ruled out, that this will happen sooner or later. Also, there is always the possibility of a collision with a meteorite - although it is extremely unlikely. Experts will give the final answer, which will inspect the aircraft and install, was there a collision and if so, what caused it.
