Iceye, in conjunction with the Polish analytical firm Satim, launched a new product of Detect and Classify - a tool based on artificial intelligence, that automates the processing of data from radar satellites (SAR).
The system combines high-resolution ICEYE images with SATIM machine learning algorithms and automatically identifies vessels, aircraft and vehicles with accuracy over 90%.
Key features:
- rendering as SAR images, and ready-made classifications in one data package;
- a significant reduction in intelligence gathering time, which previously required manual analysis;
- use in marine, air and ground missions.
ICEYE has the largest constellation of SAR satellites in the world — 54 appliances with a resolution of 25 cm and a high frequency of repeated shootings. The new Scan Wide mode allows you to cover up to 60 000 km² per scan, which enhances the possibilities of large-scale monitoring.
Detect and Classify is seen as a significant advantage for the armed forces and intelligence structures, because it provides near-instant situational awareness and speeds up decision-making.
