London-based high-resolution thermal imaging satellite provider SatVu has made its HotSat-1 data available to US government agencies through the Global Data Marketplace (GDM).
This ground-breaking pilot program streamlines access to commercial space data, allowing agencies of the US government (USG) quickly obtain important information for tactical surveillance and intelligence (TacSRT).
HotSat-1, the world's first commercially available satellite, which captures thermal infrared images with very high resolution, set a new level of thermal intelligence during the period of operation from June to December 2023 year.

As a GDM service provider, SatVu provides USG customers with seamless access to high-resolution thermal imagery. The launch of HotSat-2 later this year will further expand SatVu's data archives, increasing the availability of important information.
With GDM, US Government agencies can easily acquire SatVu data to monitor urban infrastructure, power plant efficiency assessments, tracking the activity of forest fires, analyzing volcanic events and gaining a deeper understanding of environmental changes with unparalleled accuracy.
SatVu was founded, to market commercially available high-resolution thermal images from space. After a period of research and development at 2021 year the company received 1 £1 million from the British Space Agency's National Space Innovation Program to develop a compact high-resolution infrared camera, which later went into space on the company's first satellite.
The company's first satellite, HotSat-1, was launched in June 2023 year. Two more satellites (HotSat-2 and HotSat-3) will be launched this year.
