Two Pakistani astronauts are training alongside Chinese astronauts for a follow-up short-term visit to China's Tiangong Space Station. Only one of the Pakistanis will fly the mission as a payload specialist. During the flight, in addition to the daily duties of the crew, the astronauts will also conduct scientific research for Pakistan. The Pakistani astronaut, along with two Chinese crew members, is scheduled to fly in about six months. He will stay at the station for several days, and then return to Earth with two of the three crew members from the previous mission, which will complete their usual six months in space.
Tiangong space station – it is an orbital outpost of three modules, completed at the end 2022 year. China aims to keep the station operational and permanently inhabited for at least ten years, hoping, that it will outlast the much larger International Space Station. China is also working with Pakistan on the International Research Station on the Moon, the construction of which is planned for the 2030s.
