Astronauts of SpaceX's private Fram2 mission have returned to Earth, having completed a historic journey over the poles of the planet

The first four people in history, which made an orbital flight over the North and South Poles of the Earth, successfully returned home.

SpaceX's private Fram2 mission has ended 4 April Fr. 19:18 Kyiv time, when the Dragon capsule landed gently in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Oceanside, California. This moment was the finale of the three-day trip, which went down in history as the first manned mission in polar orbit around the Earth.

The mission was financed by Maltese billionaire and cryptocurrency entrepreneur Chun Wang, who also acted as crew commander during training and flight. Norwegian Yannicke Mikkelsen was with him in the crew, who controlled the ship Dragon, German Rabea Rogge as mission pilot and Australian Eric Phillips as mission specialist and medical officer.

The launch took place 31 March from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida using a Falcon rocket 9. Four space novices went into orbit, which ran from north to south, at a height of approx 437 km above the ground. Thanks to the unique trajectory, they were able to see both poles of the planet from space for the first time in the history of mankind. During the mission, the team actively documented their observations and shared their impressions with audiences around the world.
