Blue Origin sent crypto-billionaire Justin Sun and five other passengers into suborbital space

3 sickle Blue Origin, Jeff Bezos' company, launched six passengers into suborbital space, including crypto-billionaire Justin Sun.

Mission NS-34, 34-and the flight of the New Shepard rocket, launched from the company's spaceport in West Texas 08:43 in the Eastern time (15:43 outside Kyiv). The most famous passenger was 34-year-old Justin Sun, founder of the Tron blockchain platform, which in June 2021 anonymously won the auction for a seat on the first manned flight of New Shepard, having paid $28 millions. His participation became known only in December 2021 year. Due to a scheduling conflict, Sun was unable to take that flight 20 July 2021 year, when Jeff Bezos was on board, his brother Mark, aviation pioneer Wally Funk and Dutch student Oliver Damen.

Arvinder flew with San in the NS-34 mission (Arvy) Singh Bahal, an American real estate investor of Indian origin; Turkish businessman and photographer Gökhan Erdem; Puerto Rican journalist and meteorologist Deborah Martorell; Englishman Lionel Pitchford, which 30 has been running an orphanage in Nepal for years; and American entrepreneur James (JD) Russell.

All passengers, except Russell, who flew the NS-28 mission in November 2024 year, were newbies in space. NS-34 was the 14th manned flight of New Shepard, consisting of a rocket and a capsule, both elements of which are reusable. The rocket makes a vertical landing, similar to the SpaceX Falcon 9, and the capsule lands with parachutes.

New Shepard's flight lasts 10-12 minutes, during which passengers cross the Karman line (100 km), which is considered the limit of space, and feel weightlessness for several minutes. Blue Origin does not disclose ticket prices, but the amount, paid by San, significantly exceeds the standard. Or $28 millions went to support 19 space charities to encourage young people to pursue STEAM careers (science, technologies, engineering, art, mathematics).
