26 February 2026 In 2018, the American company CesiumAstro announced the acquisition of Vidrovr startup, specializing in artificial intelligence (NE) for the analysis of multimodal signals. The purpose of the acquisition is to accelerate the integration of AI into space telecommunications and intelligence infrastructure, observation and reconnaissance (ISR). This will enable autonomous operation of payloads and satellites, optimize the RF spectrum and reconfigurable computing edge across all product lines.
For reference: CesiumAstro, founded in 2017 year, specializes in development, testing and production of high-performance communication systems for space, aviation and defense needs. They create active phased antenna arrays and software-defined radio systems for satellite communications and drones.
Acquisition of Vidrovr positions CesiumAstro to further enhance its best-in-class digital processors and active phased antenna technologies. The company's chief revenue officer said, that embedding AI into telecom payloads directly by CesiumAstro, they will provide adaptive optimization of radio frequencies, autonomous task definition and real-time decision making at the edge. This will reduce the delay, will improve spectrum efficiency and enable customers to manage sustainable, self-adjusting space networks on a large scale.
