ICEYE radar imagery added to SkyFi satellite data platform

SkyFi and ICEYE US Launch Strategic Partnership to Integrate Synthetic Aperture Radar Data (SAR) ICEYE to the SkyFi Earth observation platform. The agreement initiates wider cooperation, aimed at expanding access to commercial radar imagery, and ICEYE's assignment and archiving features are coming to the web soon- and SkyFi mobile tools.

ICEYE operates the largest commercial SAR satellite constellation, which can boast more than 50 satellites. Its integration into the SkyFi interface allows users to access radar imagery, by simply identifying the area of interest and choosing between tasks or archived data. This provides critical support for such applications, like port monitoring, infrastructure assessment and coastal surveillance.

Simplifying the interface and expanding access to radar images to a wider audience, this collaboration addresses ongoing challenges in the Earth observation market. SAR technology is particularly useful due to its ability to penetrate clouds and darkness, which makes it ideal for continuous monitoring under adverse conditions.

ICEYE radar payloads use advanced phased array systems, able to work in several data collection modes, ranging from very high resolution floodlights 25 cm and ending with a wide scan, covering over 10 000 square kilometers.

SkyFi currently provides optical, SAR, hyperspectral and aerial photographs, supporting such industries, as a defense, energy, infrastructure and environmental services. This partnership strengthens SkyFi's mission to make Earth observation data more accessible, and ICEYE advances its goal of providing SAR as a trusted global data source.

Thanks to the technical integration, users will be able to explore and purchase ICEYE data directly through SkyFi. Enterprise users will benefit from an automated task through the SkyFi API, which will allow the use of applications, which include responding to natural disasters, border security and maritime awareness.
