Finnish company ICEYE opens offices in Germany and Portugal to accelerate business expansion in Europe

9 July 2026 2015, the Finnish company ICEYE officially announced the opening of new representative offices in Germany (Мюнхен) та Португалії (Лісабон). The move is aimed at meeting the rapidly growing demand for synthesized aperture radar data (SAR) among government structures and commercial clients in Europe.

The new branches will complement the already extensive network of ICEYE offices in Finland, Poland, USA, Great Britain and Spain.

Strategic tasks of new offices

Office in Munich (Germany): Will focus on working with government defense orders, security institutions and large industrial conglomerates of Central Europe. Germany is a key market for ICEYE due to the active development of European defense programs and satellite monitoring of climate change.

Office in Lisbon (Portugal): Will focus efforts on marine monitoring, border protection, management of operations in case of natural disasters (example, forest fires and floods in Southern Europe), as well as on expanding the partnership with the European Space Agency (THIS), which has a strong position in the region.

ICEYE owns the world's largest fleet of SAR satellites (over 30 active devices in orbit). The technology of radar monitoring allows you to obtain high-resolution images of the Earth's surface during the day and at night, through thick clouds, smoke or fog.

Thanks to the involvement of additional $116 million investment in a recent funding round (series D), the company is actively scaling its business. The new offices will allow ICEYE to provide local technical support to clients and to integrate its analytical products more quickly (example, flood monitoring systems or detection of sea vessels) in the national security systems of European countries.
