The firm said, that its investment will help accelerate Trusted Space research and development, especially in areas with high demand in the military industry, such as satellite array management and control software.
Washington Harbour, which is based in Washington, district of columbia, focuses on technology companies, serving government organizations and national security markets.
Its move into space technology is consistent with the Pentagon's interests in autonomous operations of satellites and space domain awareness - spheres, which require increasingly sophisticated mission tools.
This investment continues Washington Harbor's previous forays into space technology.
In April, the firm announced a strategic investment in Turion Space, a startup from California, which develops spacecraft and software for space situational awareness missions, space debris removal and services in orbit. Washington Harbor also led the round $18 million Series A for Quindar, Colorado company, which creates cloud-based ground systems for satellite operators.
