20 January 2026 Mina Faltas, the founder and chief director of the investment firm Washington Harbor Partners, announced the acquisition of Radome Services, a company, which provides inspection services, repair and maintenance of ground facilities, that protect satellite antennas, radars and communications at military and government facilities.
Following the deal, Radome Services was renamed Outpost Mission Services and positioned as a critical infrastructure engineering services provider, which provides space operations. Mr. Faltas noted, that the company plans to create a large platform based on Outpost Mission Services by acquiring other companies and merging them with this one.
The deal reflects a broader trend among private equity -- a reorientation toward assets, related to national security and space, which provide stable, non-cyclical demand. By acquiring Radome Services and turning it into a platform company, Washington Harbor is positioning itself to capitalize on this trend.
The firm's investments in the space sphere have so far mostly concerned companies, focused on software for space operations, autonomy and decision-making, including Trusted Space, Turion Space, Quindar та Array Labs. She also participated in a Series D round for startup startup Stoke Space. Outpost represents another layer of space architecture: physical ground infrastructure, which provides control of satellites, communication and observation.
Radomes (radar domes) used in military satellite communication stations, missile early warning facilities, space surveillance radars and reconnaissance ground stations. The US regularly warns of threats to these facilities - from cyber attacks to physical strikes and environmental impacts, - that is why the maintenance and strengthening of ground infrastructure is gaining more and more importance. Washington Harbor plans to continue to invest significant resources, to become a leader in this market.
