Global Invacom introduces a fully modular, auto-deployable XY antenna for mission-critical multi-orbit applications

Global Skyware Company, which is part of the Global Invacom Group, presented its XY antenna. The antenna is ideal for quick response and mission-critical applications, offering users the highest level of modularity, flexibility and ease of installation for on-the-go connectivity, as well as in stationary.

The XY antenna provides the possibility of operation in several orbits: geostationary Earth orbit (GEO), low Earth orbit (LEO), average orbit of the Earth (MEO) and high Earth orbit (HEO). It can switch between high-frequency bands Ka and Ku, and can also work using external or internal control systems, depending on user requirements.

The integrated antenna system is the only one of its kind on the market today, because it does not require the transportation of several separate power and radio frequency cells (RF) blocks. All this is built into the transceiver, which is attached to the back of the antenna reflector. Using a transceiver provides huge advantages in terms of size reduction, balance, capacity and cost (SWaPC). It combines the equivalent of several signal amplification units (BUC), noise reduction units (LNB) and ports in a single compact case.

Antenna, best suited for government and military tasks, is not subject to the restrictions of the International Arms Trade Regulations (ITAR) and meets the requirements of the World Geodetic System (WGS). It has a reinforced construction, which allows it to function in the most extreme conditions, and is also available with an intermediate frequency digital compatibility interface (DIFI) or built-in software-defined modems, supporting multi-network capabilities and virtualization of terrestrial satellite communications infrastructure. Antenna XY is made as follows, which meets the requirements of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), and is also convenient in operation and transportation on aircraft.
