Google has entered into an agreement for cloud services with SpaceX. According to the agreements, the search giant will pay out every month 920 million dollars for access to the space company's computing resources, Among them 110 thousands of Nvidia processors. If this contract is implemented in full, it will bring Elon Musk's corporation over 30 billions of dollars. This deal took place on the eve of SpaceX's planned IPO (IPO), which is due next week. Expected, that the capitalization of the company will be almost 1,8 trillion dollars.
As evidenced by the documents, filed with the SEC (US Securities and Exchange Commission), the main contract will be valid from October 2026 year to June 2029 year, however, capacity building will begin before September at reduced tariffs. Google notes, that the main purpose of the deal is to acquire transitional capacity to support Gemini Enterprise's own AI platform, the demand for which far exceeded the wildest expectations of developers.
The agreement provides for protection mechanisms: Google has the right to terminate the contract, unless SpaceX delivers the required number of GPUs to 30 September 2026 year. And after
31 December, any of the parties will be able to stop cooperation, having warned about it for 90 days.
