ICEYE, manufacturer of synthetic aperture radar satellites (SAR), and Saab announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding cooperation in the development and integration of modern space-based radar data into Saab's control systems (C2).
Capabilities of space sensors are becoming critical for modern military, providing access to critical information in difficult environments. This collaboration is designed to provide tangible value to customers through the integration of ICEYE Enhanced Situational Awareness capabilities (ISR), Long-Range Targeting and Improved Tactical Decision Making with Saab command and control systems.
The MoU lays the groundwork with an initial focus on research and demonstration of integration into Multi-Domain-Operations (MDO). The benefits will allow for enhanced space situational awareness and the ability to protect critical infrastructure, providing valuable information as a civilian, and military power in peacetime, in a gray area or during a conflict.
