Satellite «AlSat 3A» – Algerian Earth remote sensing satellite, designed to monitor natural resources and prevent and respond to natural disasters. The spacecraft was developed by the Chinese Academy of Space Technology (CAST) in collaboration with the Algerian Space Agency (ORIGIN). The launch of this satellite is part of a contract between Algeria and China, signed in the summer 2023 year, which includes not only the satellite itself, and ground stations, staff training and support.
