Informational guide on the launch of the "G60 Polar Group 05" spacecraft

23 January 2025 year Fr. 05:041 (UTC) from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, China, using a launch vehicle «Long March 6А» 18 Chinese space vehicles were launched «G60 Polar Group 05».

G60 Polar Group 05 – is a group of 18 communication satellites in low Earth orbit with a payload in the Ku bands, Q and V for grouping G60, which are operated by Shanghai Spacecom Satellite Technology (SSST). The G60 group is positioned as an analogue of the Starlink group. The initial grouping will consist of 1296 satellites to 2027 year with long-term plans to expand it to 12000 satellites.

At the moment, the G60 grouping consists of 54 KA.

«Long March 6А» — a Chinese launch vehicle of the Long March family, developed by the Chinese Aerospace and Technology Corporation (Hull) and Shanghai Academy of Space Flight Technology (Hes). The machine is a further development of the Long March 6. It is equipped with two YF-100 engines on the first degree, supplemented by four solid rocket boosters.
