22 December 2025 year Fr. 01:51 (UTC) from the Tanegashima Space Center, Japan, using a launch vehicle H3 launched a ka «Michibiki 5 (QZS-5)».

«MICHIBIKI 5 (QZS-5)» – it is a Japanese navigation satellite system QZSS (Quasi-Zenith Satellite System), designed to improve positioning accuracy and reliability in Japan and the Asia-Pacific region. It transmits navigation and correction signals, used in transport, aviation, seafaring, geodesy, autonomous systems and emergency response services. The satellite is owned and operated by the Japanese government through Quasi-Zenith Satellite System Services Inc.

As of the end 2025 five satellites are not in orbit every year «QZSS (Michibiki)». In the future, to improve coverage and autonomous navigation without dependence on GPS, it is planned to expand the grouping to 11 KA.
