7 October 2026 year Fr. 03:25 (UTC) from the Naro Space Center, South Korea, using a launch vehicle «KSLV-2 Nuri» a launch was made 5 KA of South Korea «NeonSat 2-6» and 10 satellites(cubits).
Companions «NeonSat 2-6» is a group of five South Korean optical-electronic Earth observation microsatellites, developed by the KAIST Center for Satellite Technologies (SatReC). They form the basis of the new national group NeonSat (New-space Earth Observation Satellite), which is being created by South Korea for operational emergency monitoring (forest fires, floods) and ensuring the country's national security. The spacecraft are equipped with an optical camera with a resolution of up to 1 m. in black and white mode and up to 4 m. in color.
Together with the five main instruments "NeonSat 2-6", the South Korean Nuri rocket launched into orbit 10 satellites(cubits). Вони створені місцевими університетами, приватними космічними стартапами та державними інститутами (зокрема KARI).
The main purpose of these small satellites is to test domestic space technologies, testing of electronic components in orbit and scientific research of the Earth.
At the moment, the group is 2 identified KA. This launch will expand the grouping of the "NeonSat" spacecraft to 5 KA. KAIST aims to expand the group to 12 KA.
