19 September 2026 year Fr. 10:50 (UTC) from the Taiyuan Cosmodrome, Китай за допомогою ракети-носія «Long March 2D» було здійснено запуск чотирьох КА радіолокаційного спостереження Китаю «PIESAT-2».
«PIESAT-2» (13-16) – a group of four second-generation Earth observation satellites, developed for the PIESAT company (1 basic, 3 auxiliary satellites), working in tandem using ultra-long-baseline interferometry, with a resolution of 0.5–5 m. "PIESAT-2" spacecraft are equipped with a radar with a synthesized aperture in the X-band.
The PIESAT company is engaged in research and application of satellite technologies. They, also, developed software for processing images and remote sensing data of the Earth.
Currently, the "PIESAT" group of satellites consists of 16 KA.
