Information guide on the launch of the StriX Launch 9 spacecraft

22 May 2026 year Fr. 10:30 (UTC) from the Mahia Peninsula, UTC, the Japanese Earth remote sensing satellite "StriX Launch 9" was launched using the Electron launch vehicle. The mission was carried out by the American-New Zealand company Rocket Lab for the Japanese company Synspective.

«StriX Launch 9» — this is the ninth launch within the program of deployment of the constellation of radar satellites of the "StriX" series. The device is equipped with a SAR radar (Synthetic Aperture Radar), which allows obtaining high-precision images of the Earth's surface regardless of weather conditions and time of day. Satellites of this type are used for infrastructure monitoring, control of natural disasters, urban planning and observation of changes in the earth's surface with millimeter accuracy.

The Synspective company plans to create a full-fledged group with more than 30 SAR satellites in low Earth orbit for global monitoring of the Earth's surface.

«Electron» is a two-stage light launch vehicle, розроблена компанією Rocket Lab для запуску малих супутників і CubeSat на низькі навколоземні та сонячно-синхронні орбіти. The rocket has height 18 метрів і здатна виводити до 300 кг корисного навантаження на ННО.
