CA «SXM-11» – it is the 12th geostationary telecommunications satellite for the American radio broadcasting company SiriusXM, built by Lanteris Space (former Maxar, Space System/Loral).
It is designed to provide uninterrupted broadcasting of informational audio content on the territory of the United States, of Canada, Alaska and Puerto Rico.
The SXM-11 space vehicle is built on the proven IM-1300 class platform (ex LS-1300). The satellite will generate over 20 kW of energy and has a large diameter antenna reflector 10 meters, which makes it possible to receive signals without the need to use large antennas.
The starting weight is about 7 tone. It has a design life 15 years.
