«ViaSat-3 F2» – it is the second high-performance geostationary communication satellite of the group, developed by an American company Viasat Inc. in cooperation with Boeing Satellite Systems.
The main purpose of KA is to provide broadband Internet connection for users in the region of North and South America, including the provision of aviation services, marine, government and corporate clients. After entering geostationary orbit, the satellite will be at the testing stage for several months, and the start of commercial operation is expected at the beginning 2026 year.
The device will provide additional bandwidth over 1 Tb/s will be an important stage in the creation of a global network ViaSat-3. In the future, the company Viasat plans to complete the deployment of a full series of three satellites «ViaSat-3 — F1 (Americas)», «F2 (EMEA)» and "F3 (Asia-Pacific)» – which together will provide global coverage with a total Internet bandwidth of more than 3 Tb/s.
