01 September 2026 year Fr. 02:00 (UTC) From Juzuan Cosmond, China is a Chinese company Galactic Energy conducted a demonstration launch of its new reusable rocket «Pallas-1».
«Pallas-1» - a two-stage launch vehicle on liquid oxygen-kerosene fuel, developed Galactic Energy for launching large satellites and deploying satellite groups. Its starting mass is about 283 T, height — 49,6 city, body diameter — 3,35 city, and the diameter of the main fairing — 4,2 city. The starting thrust is about 3430–3435 kN. Declared carrying capacity — up to 7 t to low Earth orbit (LEO).
The first stage uses seven CQ-50 engines, that work in parallel. The rocket is created as partially reusable: the first stage is designed for vertical landing and repeated use up to 25 flights. Pallas-1 can also be equipped with an additional Eros upper stage, which allows to expand its capabilities for various orbital missions.
The main goal of this launch is not to launch a specific commercial satellite, and checking the rocket itself during the first orbital flight. It is planned to check the operation of the engines, management systems, stages of the rocket, separation and exit to orbit. Also, the flight should demonstrate the functionality of the technologies, necessary for the future vertical return of the first stage.
Payload is not reported.
