Japanese startup Interstellar Technologies has attracted investment in 7 billions of yen (44 Millions of dollars) by Woven by Toyota, division of Toyota, which deals with mobility technologies.
The partnership will help Interstellar scale rocket and satellite production, to meet global demand for launchers and satellite communications. According to Interstellar CEO Takahiro Inagawa, Woven by Toyota will facilitate the transition from unique production to a scalable supply chain.
Cooperation plans
Interstellar, known for the development of the Zero missile, aims to create an integrated launch system, production of satellites and communications, similar to SpaceX. WITH 2020 Toyota is helping the startup cut costs, reduce deadlines and start mass production.
Woven by Toyota
Created in 2021 year, Woven by Toyota explores mobility on land, the sea, in the air and even outside the Earth. Toyota Chairman Akio Toyoda noted, that the future of mobility goes beyond our planet.
