10 November 2025 Sateliot presented a model of its advanced Tritó satellite during the inauguration of the European 5G Satellite Development Center in Barcelona. The company has announced plans to develop improved satellites on newly created expanded capacities, aiming to go beyond connecting sensors and machines and enable broadband voice communications, video and data transfer directly to smartphones.
The advanced satellites, called Tritó, will be manufactured at the newly established European 5G Satellite Development Center at the company's headquarters in Barcelona. The first
16 satellites by weight 150 kilograms is planned to be launched in 2027 year to showcase capabilities in specific regions for a few minutes at a time, before scaling the system to provide real-time coverage to 2030 year. Initially, Sateliot plans to deploy
five more spacecraft weight 15 kilograms in 2026 year, enhancing connectivity service for IoT devices (IoT) using global 5G standards, known as 3GPP.
Sateliot's ultimate goal is to build a global network of hundreds of satellites to enable 5G IoT and New Radio (NR) real-time, low-latency dual-use communication (civil and defense.
