KBR and AXIOM SPACE successfully completed initial piloted tests

KBR (NYSE: KBR) and Axiom Space conducted three successful piloted tests (NBL) Nasa at the Johnson Space Center, What is an important step in preparing to return NASA to the month.

Tests provided full immersion of astronaut in a pool volume 6,2 million gallons, De Squerive Axemu, designed for Artemis III mission, checked in conditions, that simulate the weightlessness of space. The goal was to assess the tightness and integrity of the spacesuit.

During the tests, the spacesuit remained completely airtight, confirming its readiness for further evaluations and future missions.

KBR's role in this achievement is part of the Exploration Extravehicular Activity Services contract (xEVAS), which supports NASA's testing of a new generation of spacesuits. AxEMU is designed to be more versatile, reliable and adaptable to the needs of space exploration, including future missions to the Moon and beyond. Testing is critical to verify performance and operational readiness.

KBR and Axiom Space continue to support a new era of space exploration, helping astronauts train, don spacesuits and safely complete missions in space.
