Military researchers from the National University of Defense Technology of China for the first time declassified the characteristics of a super-powerful microwave pulse weapon (HPM), capable of massively "blinding" and burning the electronics of Starlink satellites in low Earth orbit. Published in a scientific journal High Power Laser and Particle Beams information indicates, that the development has already moved from the stage of laboratory prototypes to practical deployment in the PRC troops.
The latest Chinese attack system is fundamentally different from classic anti-satellite missiles:
Power: The main installation combines several synchronized generators, which allows you to form directed electromagnetic pulses with a power of up to 100 gigawatt (GW). At the same time, experts note, that the momentum of the whole in 1 GW enough already, to completely disable the low-orbit vehicle's unprotected on-board electronics.
The effect of "blinding" and burning: Radiation works according to the Tesla coil principle. It does not destroy the satellite physically, but introduces a critical overvoltage through antennas and cables, instantly burning out sensitive chips from the inside.

Energy independence under extreme conditions: A hybrid system of lithium-ion capacitors has been created to power the complexes, which provides instant energy transfer even at sub-zero temperatures 40 °C.
Mobility: Previously presented in this series, the TPG1000Cs compact power supply module (developed by the Institute of Nuclear Technologies in Xi'an) weighs close to 5 tons and has a length 4 meters, which allows it to be easily installed on mobile wheeled or rail platforms.
Military analysts emphasize, that Beijing views Elon Musk's satellites as full-fledged US military infrastructure. It was the experience of using Starlink in the war in Ukraine that forced the PRC to force the transfer of microwave systems to its troops in preparation for a potential conflict around Taiwan.
