Maxar Intelligence, a leading provider of geospatial data, announced three new multi-year strategic contracts for a total 204,7 Millions of US dollars. Contracts, extending Maxar's twenty-year leadership in the region, built on Maxar's Direct Access Program offering (DAP). Customers in the region will have direct access to Maxar's industry-leading satellite group and geospatial intelligence products, including ultra-high spatial resolution satellite imagery, 3Terrain D-data and advanced analytics for continuous, near-real-time monitoring.
Access to Maxar's geospatial intelligence products will also help these customers build more advanced space-based C5ISR systems (command, management, communication, computers, cyber security, intelligence, observation, reconnaissance), which will open up new opportunities in multi-domain operations, constant observation and enhanced coordination of missions. Example, the contract includes access to AI-based change detection capabilities, which are used to create Sentry, the new Maxar intelligence solution. These technologies can detect activity and patterns, simultaneously in several locations.
"Continuous digitization of modern defense and security operations has led to a significant increase in international demand for sovereign geospatial intelligence capabilities, in particular, on near-real-time situational awareness in key areas of interest", Anders Linder said, general manager of international governance at Maxar. “The Middle East and Africa region has long been at the forefront of investing in technological innovation, and our enhanced partnerships reflect the strategic importance of sovereign space capabilities. These agreements underscore Maxar's deep commitment to supporting the needs of our international customers to gain a real-time decision advantage for the most demanding missions.”.
Maxar's DAP offering enables its international defense and intelligence customers to integrate ground stations with Maxar satellites, giving them dedicated capacity with guaranteed delivery speed. Customers will be able to receive, in real time, to 15 minutes of shooting data.
