Parsons acquired Altamira to expand capabilities in space and intelligence

15 January 2026 Parsons Corporation is an American multidisciplinary technology corporation, which specializes in defense, scouts, cyber security and critical infrastructure - announced the acquisition of Altamira Technologies for $375 million to expand capabilities in space data analytics and reconnaissance missions. Altamira employs more than 600 employees, close 90% of which have access to classified information. The company will be integrated into the Defense division & Parsons Intelligence Corporation.

Altamira specializes in radio reconnaissance, missile launch alerts and data analytics, space-oriented. Under various military contracts, she developed analytics tools based on artificial intelligence and machine learning, intended for processing and interpretation of data from satellites regarding the warning of missile launches. The company provides a high level of technical competence in space sensor data processing, in particular, the data streams of satellites of the missile strike warning system, and in the integration of information from multiple intelligence sources to meet national security objectives. This work responds to the growing interest of the US Department of Defense in the integration of space sensors with ground and airborne intelligence systems.

In recent years, Parsons Corporation has been actively using an acquisition strategy, to strengthen its position in high-tech intelligence, cyber security and space operations, moving away from the traditional focus on engineering, infrastructure and program management.

According to forecasts of the company's analysts, in 2026 year Altamira will bring more than 200 million dollars in revenue.
