As part of the reform of the Pentagon's procurement system, the US Space Force created a new department, the Technology Portfolio Executive (Technology portfolio management). It reports directly to the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Space Acquisition and Integration and is designed to bridge the gap between the service's operational needs and industry capabilities.
The Department will closely cooperate with the Department of Procurement on portfolios of areas (PAE), які матимуть повноваження повного циклу керування програмами в межах визначених місійних сфер.
