The US's busiest spaceport is moving from jamming drones to physically destroying them, combining radio electronic jamming, automatic surveillance of airspace and means of destruction into a single defense system due to increasingly frequent missile launches and unauthorized drone flights.
The first line of defense appeared in December 2025 year, when the unit announced a multi-million dollar RF jamming system, which interrupts the control of drones and does not interfere with civilian aircraft. The laser physically destroys the device in the air. The spaceport will also receive new equipment from the Joint Interagency Task Force 401 Pentagon. Available radars reliably track targets from a Cessna light aircraft and more, however, a cover is required for the quadcopter, which Anduril's Lattice software platform should provide, which combines sensor data, automatically detects drones and triggers a response.
