Maxar Intelligence received a contract under the Luno A program from the US National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (that).
The contract provides for the provision of analytical services using artificial intelligence (NE) and machine learning to automatically detect objects in many given locations simultaneously. Maxar identifies planes, ships, land vehicles and railway cars, by calculating objects, their classification, detection of trends and anomalies, as well as geospatial analysis in spatial and temporal dimensions. This mission demonstrates the use of commercial technology for continuous global monitoring.
The contract requires high performance and compliance with tight deadlines: collecting multiple images from constellations of satellites in defined time windows and providing analysis results within hours of image acquisition. Automation of all stages is the key to success.
This collaboration underscores the importance of commercial innovation to national security needs. Combining various sensor data and advanced analytics allows for faster decision-making. The project strengthens geospatial intelligence capabilities through the integration of AI and satellite data for effective real-time monitoring.
