2 April 2026 Phantom Space officially announced the acquisition of Thermal Management Technologies (TMT) — a specialist in the field of thermal control systems for space vehicles. This strategic decision is aimed at developing its own network of orbital data centers called Phantom Cloud.
Основні деталі угоди:
Purpose of acquisition: Obtaining expertise in the management of thermal regimes. This is critical for high performance satellites, which perform complex calculations in orbit and emit large amounts of heat.
TMT status: The company will become a subsidiary of Phantom Space. TMT founder Scott Schick will remain as general manager.
Cooperation: TMT engineers will work with the Phantom team to develop the Block satellites 1 Phantom Cloud.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, and the company plans to deploy its network of orbital data centers, the first launches of which are planned for the middle 2027 year. The integration of cooling technologies directly into the company's structure will allow Phantom Space to offer a full range of services: from building satellites and launching them on their own Daytona rockets to processing data in space.
