Space technology company Creotech Instruments has announced plans to acquire 118 millions of dollars, which will allow it to open a new factory for the production of satellites in Poland until 2029 year as part of the new long-term development strategy. Creotech Instruments hopes to nearly quadruple production capacity by then 40 satellites per year.
CEO of Creotech Instruments Grzegorz Brona said, that last year the company received revenue from sales in the space sector in the amount 40,4 million dollars and received a net profit for the first time. At the enterprise in Piasecno near Warsaw, where it is produced 10 microsatellites per year, capacities are fully loaded. The company has a portfolio of orders in the space sector worth approx 165,5 millions of dollars. These orders include two projects, where Creotech Instruments is the prime contractor: the Mikroglob optical-electronic Earth observation microsatellite program for the Polish Army and the CAMILA program, commissioned by the Polish government. CAMILA project cost 61 million dollars is aimed at creating a national satellite group for Poland. The company's portfolio also includes Kestrel nanosatellites, Eagle microsatellites and Seagull minisatellites.
Brona noted, that as part of its expansion plans, the company plans to shift from a focus on microsatellites to minisatellites.
The Seagull platform is massive 150 kilograms with a payload in the form of a synthesized aperture radar will be launched into orbit in 2028 year as part of the CAMILA program. А у 2032 році компанія планує запустити платформу EMU, яка підтримуватиме місії з апаратами масою до 500 kilograms.
In April 2025 року Creotech Instruments приєдналася до групи компаній, які беруть участь в ініціативі зі створення гібридного супутникового угруповання в регіоні Трьох морів (Балтійське, Адріатичне та Чорне моря). Спільна ініціатива космічних компаній з Хорватії, Czech Republic, Greece, Poland, Словаччини та Словенії спрямована на значне підвищення можливостей спостереження Землі завдяки спільному використанню супутникових ресурсів та розвитку сумісної наземної інфраструктури.
