The Polish company SatRev launched a ground station in Oman

Polish space infrastructure company SatRev has handed over a new ground station to its client in Oman. The launch of the station is part of the company's expansion into the space sector of the Middle East and the completion of cooperation with the state-owned Omani company ETCO Space.

Within the project in Oman Satrev, in two years, she has developed and built an antenna in Wroclaw with a diameter 3,5 m for communication with satellites in the UHF and S bands. The project started in October 2021 year at the International Astronautical Congress in Dubai, de SatRev, TUATARA and ETCO signed a memorandum of cooperation to develop Oman's first cubesat, creation of a ground station and training of engineers.

Ground station, located in the Omani desert near the coast, protected by a special dome from sand and salty sea air. It is designed to be flexible, with the ability to scale for new hardware, which allows ETCO Space to integrate new services, such as satellite platforms, AI systems or data analytics tools. The station supports commercial and government clients using the G-SaaS model (Ground station as a service).

IN 2024 In 2010, SatRev and the Government of Oman formed a joint venture, Spazers, to manufacture and launch satellites. Founded in 2016 Zvolinsky year, Damian Fialkovskii and Radoslav Lapczynskii, SatRev plans to debut on the Warsaw Stock Exchange's NewConnect market in the second half 2025 year.
