«SDA TRANCHE 1 Transport Layer B» – це перший запуск у рамках програми Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (Pwsa), regarding the creation of a stable network of US military satellites in low Earth orbit, developed and managed by the US Space Agency (Space Development Agency).
Each spacecraft is equipped with an intersatellite laser communication system, and transmitters in the Ka range, which will provide data transmission directly to military aircraft, ships and ground stations.
