10 September 2025 year Fr. 14:12 (UTC) From the Vandenberg Military Co-Sco-Scosin Base, California, USA using a launch vehicle «Falcon 9 Block 5» the 21st communication satellite was launched «SDA Tranche 1 Transport Layer B».
«SDA TRANCHE 1 Transport Layer B» – this is the first launch within the program Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (Pwsa), regarding the creation of a stable network of US military satellites in low Earth orbit, developed and managed by the US Space Agency (Space Development Agency).
Each spacecraft is equipped with an intersatellite laser communication system, and transmitters in the Ka range, which will provide data transmission directly to military aircraft, ships and ground stations. Together, the satellites form an orbital network, which rapidly distributes data across hundreds of nodes, which will also allow quick detection of missile launches and transfer of information for operational dissemination.
The grouping is planned to expand to 126 satellites.
