RBC Signals is expanding its global network of ground stations, adding 10 antenna

RBC Signals is expanding its network of ground stations, having purchased 10 antennas for tracking satellites in S- and X-bands. The new antennas will help government and commercial customers improve communications with satellites in various orbits.

Network expansion and new opportunities.

Purchased antennas are located on five continents — in North and South America, Europe, Africa and Asia. They will provide communication with satellites at low (LEO), average (MEO) and geostationary (GEO) orbits.

The antennas will also be used for convergence and docking operations in equatorial orbits. This opens up new opportunities for satellite missions, including maintenance of spacecraft in orbit and monitoring of near-Earth space.

Financing and asset management.

The agreement on financing the purchase of antennas was supported by Libra Group, a subsidiary of Space Leasing International (SLI).

SLI remains the owner of the antennas, while RBC Signals will be responsible for their management and maintenance under the operating lease.

The seller was Microsoft, which decided to focus on its key areas of activity.

Integration with Microsoft cloud technologies.

An important part of the deal was the integration of RBC Signals services with the Azure cloud platform.

Now the company's clients will be able to combine satellite data with AI tools and Microsoft cloud services.

This will speed up the analysis of the received data, opening up new opportunities for innovation in satellite communications and Earth observation.
