7 September 2026 The Ministry of Economy of Slovenia announced the successful launch of the fourth Slovenian space satellite TRISAT-S from the territory of the municipality of Annej (Norway). The launch took place 5 September with the help of the first space flight of the SPECTRUM rocket, developed by the German company Isar Aerospace.
For reference: Isar Aerospace is a German private aerospace company and unicorn startup, which designs and manufactures launch vehicles for launching small and medium-sized satellites into orbit. The company has been called the main "European competitor to SpaceX" because of its potential to reduce the EU's dependence on American and Asian launch services.
Ракета вивела на цільові орбіти п’ять малих супутників та один експериментальний. Апарати походять з Німеччини, Norway, Austria, Болгарії та Словенії і призначені
для випробування інноваційних технологій та компонентів супутникових систем.
TRISAT-S став четвертим словенським супутником на орбіті після запусків апаратів Nemo HD, TRISAT та TRISAT-R. Міністерство економіки зазначило, що цей компактний супутник, який наразі перебуває на навколоземній орбіті, is an important step for Slovenia in space technology and is intended to act as a scout for future deep space missions.
TRISAT-S is an institutional non-commercial satellite mission, which is led by the University of Maribor in cooperation with the Slovenian space company SkyLabs.
