Location: Vermilion County, Pecan Island coastal area (Gulf of Mexico).
Area of the complex: Over 50 500 hectares (125 000 acres), that in 8 times more than Manhattan.
Infrastructure: Понад 10–12 пускових веж, гігантський ангар Terabay, власне паливне виробництво, електрогенерація, глибоководний порт та аеропорт.
Частота пусків: Розрахований на підготовку та здійснення до 30 of Starship launches per day.
Implementation schedule: Start of construction — 2027 year, the first launch is scheduled for 2029 year.
The new spaceport is being created as part of the global evolution of SpaceX's business after a large-scale IPO in the summer 2026 year:
Satellite AI megaproject: Starbase Louisiana will be the main node for the launch of the next generation of Starlink satellites on Nvidia chips and the deployment of a network of orbital data centers of artificial intelligence.
Missions to the Moon and Mars: Along with an existing site in Texas and complexes in Florida, Louisiana will provide logistics for landing NASA astronauts on the moon under the Artemis program and further colonization of Mars.
Environmental obligations: The spaceport is located in the area of wetlands, therefore, SpaceX, together with the state authorities, will conduct a large-scale restoration and strengthening of the coastline from storms.
For residents of the region, the project will bring more than 3 000 direct jobs with salary, which is significantly higher than the state average, as well as promised by Elon Musk 50% discount on Starlink satellite internet.
