The American company BRINC presented Guardian — a new drone for services 911, which received integrated Starlink communication, robotic replacement of batteries and the ability to work almost without pauses between missions. The company positions it as a new stage in the "drone as the first" format, who arrives at the scene".

For reference: Brinc (Brinc Drones) is a technology company, specializing in the development of drones for public safety services, law enforcement agencies and tactical operations. Known for its drones, able to break windows and work indoors, as well as the new Guardian model, which acts as an alternative to police helicopters.

Guardian is distinguished by the Starlink satellite channel. BRINC calls it the first drone of its class with built-in Starlink communications, which allows the data link to be maintained there, where there is no reliable cellular or terrestrial infrastructure. The system is also integrated into the Motorola Solutions ecosystem: command center software can more quickly determine the type of incident and decide whether to send a drone with medical or other cargo before the arrival of ground services.

According to BRINC, Guardian can respond to challenges up to 13 km, stay in the air until 62 minutes and develop speed up to 97 km/year. The bet is made not only on speed: the device has a 4K camera, thermal imaging modules, laser range finder, floodlight and loudspeaker. The main feature is working together with the Guardian Station, which automatically changes batteries and selects the required payload, example, defibrillator, water rescue aid or Narcan (the trade name for naloxone hydrochloride nasal spray, which is a quick and effective antidote for opioid overdose). According to the company's statement, it makes it possible to move to virtually 24/7 readiness without constant human involvement.

In simple words, it's a drone in a box, which sits in a special station on the roof or near the base, receives the command, takes off on a call and transmits video via a regular mobile connection or Starlink. After returning, the station itself quickly changes the battery and prepares the device for a new departure. If necessary, the system can load the necessary cargo into the drone even before the start - for example, defibrillator or rescue buoy.

Although the Guardian is designed for emergency services on Earth, it clearly shows the logic of future space systems: autonomous service, modular payload, reservation of communication channels and work in remote areas. Such principles are required for robotic platforms near lunar bases, Martian stations or terrestrial astronomical observatories in hard-to-reach places, where the device has to recharge itself, to accept new equipment and take off again for the task.
