Hypersonics startup Hypersonica has received Series A funding and test launch

Anglo-German startup Hypersonica officially came out of stealth mode in February 2026 year, announcing the successful raising of funding and the first test flight of a hypersonic rocket prototype.

Series A financing

The company attracted 23,3 million euros in a Series A round:

The leader of the round: Plural Venture Fund (London).

Participants: Germany's Federal Agency for Breakthrough Innovations (SPRINT), as well as General Catalyst funds and 201 Ventures.

Allocation of funds: The funding will accelerate the development and conduct of full-scale flight tests to ensure the sovereign hypersonic capability of Europe and NATO countries.

Test run of the prototype

The test took place at the beginning of February 2026 year at Andøya Space in Norway:
