The Exploration Company is considering Middle Eastern launch sites for a heavy launch vehicle

European start-up The Exploration Company is considering using launch sites in the Middle East to power future launch missions of its new Yrene heavy-lift launch vehicle.

For reference: The Exploration Company develops reusable spacecraft and technologies for orbital logistics. It seeks to provide Europe with sovereign access to space to deliver cargo and people, reducing dependence on American private companies.

The need to find new locations is due to the infrastructural limitations of European spaceports, which are currently unable to provide a high frequency of launches and large-scale requirements for the operation of heavy equipment. Instead, the countries of the Middle East demonstrate a high willingness to finance space programs and possess territorial resources for the development of modern launch infrastructure.

Despite the expansion of strategic plans to create its own launch vehicle, the primary task of the enterprise remains the development of the Nyx reusable space capsule. The main purpose of the current modification is the autonomous delivery of cargo to low Earth orbit, including supplying the International Space Station and future commercial stations (Axiom, Vast, Starlab), as well as returning the payload to Earth. The demonstration flight of this device to the International Space Station is scheduled for 2028 year.
