Great Britain declares its intention to maintain and expand support for Ukraine even after the end of the war, unleashed by Russia. London's strategic plans include not only the continuation of already existing programs, and their significant expansion.
Still in 2014 year the mission was launched «Operation Orbital", the purpose of which was to prepare and strengthen the interaction of the British military with units of the Ground Forces and the Naval Forces of Ukraine.
After the end of hostilities, a new stage of cooperation is expected, conventionally designated as «Operation Orbital ++». Its feature will be a much wider range of involved spheres. In addition to land and sea components, the formation of an air component is planned, and in the future — the integration of space and cyberspace. This approach corresponds to the modern understanding of complex warfare in five domains: dry land, sea, air, space and cyberspace.
In the political environment of Great Britain, support for Ukraine demonstrates stability and non-party consensus. And the government, and the opposition act as a united front, considering the Ukrainian issue as a strategic one, which goes beyond internal political disputes.
So, British initiatives after the end of the war are aimed not only at ensuring the security of Ukraine, and the formation of a long-term architecture of cooperation in the conditions of new global challenges.
