Voyager opens a defense and space technology hub

Voyager Technologies opens new electronics manufacturing and engineering facility in Long Beach, California, expanding its presence in the region, which has become a hub for space and defense companies. Company (with headquarters in Denver) reported, that the object, open 12 March 2026 year, will support the development and production of electronics, software and engine technologies, which are used in space vehicles and defense systems.

Expansion takes place at that time, as Voyager positions itself for Pentagon programs, related to missile defense and space. The event follows the January opening of America's Voyager Defense Complex in Pueblo (State of Colorado), focused on anti-missile defense and tactical ammunition. Voyager also acquired companies, related to motor and sensor technologies. Last year, it bought Estes Energetics, a supplier of solid rocket motors and energy materials, used in ammunition and missile systems. The acquisition gave Voyager access to domestic production of energy materials, including military black powder, which is used to ignite solid fuel systems. The company also acquired ElectroMagnetic Systems, which develops artificial intelligence and machine learning tools for space-based radar, and electric motor supplier ExoTerra Resources.

The series of deals reflects a broader industry push to rebuild U.S. manufacturing capacity for engines and energy materials, as the Pentagon seeks to reduce dependence on foreign suppliers.
