South Korean Company Si Imaging Services 2 reported on a contract with a European client for leasing the SpaceEye-T satellite capacity. The value of the transaction exceeds 10 millions of euros (about $11,7 million).
SpaceEye-T is a high resolution optical satellite 25 cm per pixel. It was bred in March during the SpaceX Transporter-13 mission. The developer and owner of the satellite is the company Satrec Initiative, parent company of SI Imaging Services.
Thanks to this agreement, the European customer will have exclusive access to the satellite's imaging capabilities, without having to own it. Data will be transmitted in near real time, with protection through end-to-end encryption and automatic deletion of records.
The company emphasizes, that the Satellite-as-a-Service model is becoming more and more popular in the world. It allows customers to quickly receive satellite images with high data security. SI Imaging Services head Moongyu Kim said, that the agreement confirms international confidence in SpaceEye-T and strengthens the company's position in the global space technology market.
